In the DC Super Hero Girls episode All About Zee, Zatanna gets a fan in the form of hitherto unmentioned shy person, Casey Krinsky. However, Casey’s not terrible subtle crush on Zee sours when she begins to outright stalk the magician/superhero, something made even worse by Casey’s growing resentment over Zee getting so many breaks in comparison to herself (as in, “Why should Zee be conventionally attractive, popular and rich? THAT SHOULD BE ME!!!”).

Unfortunately for Zee,it turns out that Casey has shapeshifting and power-absorption abilities, which she uses to shapeshift into Zatanna, stealing her powers/life, and eventually stealing all the powers of Zee’s friends too, becoming an amalgam of the team.

Much to my surprise, Casey is actually a character from the comics, complete with having the same power-set and backstory, only with the object of her obsession being Firestorm instead of Zatanna. The crystal motif used in the episode when Casey uses her powers is lifted from how comics!Casey is all crystally when using her powers, for another example.
