Small Update (Charlie & some Chai)
I’ve been holding off on posting this info for a bit because all of the research was done by someone else, I just stumbled across it, and I’m not sure they want to be credited. You can do some searching yourself and probably narrow down the source of this information with some basic Google-fu, but I verified for myself that it all pans out.
Anyway...
Remember when Charlie claimed that Jared used his fame as a YouTuber to manipulate them?
Remember when Charlie continued to push that idea even after it was proven that they lied about their age?
Remember how it was Jared’s power and fame that pushed them to send him nudes?
Charlie has been sending nudes to adults at least as early as the age of 14. Here’s a clip from their Twitter where they blame the “20+ year olds” that they sent nudes to, along with one of their friends/followers chastising them for publicly admitting to committing multiple felonies.
It’s pretty hard to believe that Charlie was so star-struck by Jared that they went beyond their comfort zone to lie about their age and send him nudes when apparently sending nudes to adults was a pastime of theirs for years!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The people that fell for Charlie’s lies got duped. Hard. A lot of them still swear by Charlie’s claims to this day.
You may also find this interesting: Charlie is close real-life friends with a pair of people that openly bragged on Twitter about how they would catfish adult men into swapping nudes, then blackmail them for cash. They even bragged about catfishing Jared himself at one point.
That’s right; Charlie’s real life circle of friends includes at least two people that routinely catfish adult men for blackmail.
One used the handle @anchinomy
The other used the handle @DetectiveChungy
Seems like most of their scams were pretty basic, despite them claiming they worked often. I suppose it’s a matter of firing a shotgun into the air until you manage to hit something. (I blurred the identity of one attempted victim)
Now, I don’t have a particular interest in a pair of third-rate hustlers scamming gullible guys out of cash. It’s a shitty thing to do, but I’m not on a crusade to stop that. What I was interested in, however, was the fact that they mentioned Jared.
If you’re wondering who “Jayde” is, that’s “cea” AKA @Anchinomy.
Now you’re probably wondering “How is this connected to Charlie?” I’ll keep it short, because this is less of a smoking gun and more “too many coincidences to be a coincidence.”
Charlie has a friend that goes by the handle @vamplin. Here’s a picture from Charlie’s tumblr page of the two posing together in costume:
Vamplin is friends with someone named Blair, who goes by @simonbelmonts on Twitter.
Charlie, @gobpire (Vamplin), DetectiveChungy, and @CHIDARUMA (Sloane, Anchinomy’s fiance) all follow Blair on Twitter.
Blair is real life friends with Jayde.
The web is complicated and confusing, but to make a long story short: Blair, Sloane, Jayde, and DetectiveChungy live in Portland, while Vamplin and Charlie live in Seattle. Vamplin and Blair visit each other often. Blair is friends with Jayde and Chungy, who catfished Jared along with an unknown number of other men.
Sure, maybe it’s a coincidence that Charlie shares friends with people that routinely catfish and blackmail adult men for personal gain. Maybe it’s just a coincidence that they claim to have catfished Jared sometime before 2018. Maybe it’s a coincidence that he’s the same person Charlie catfished and later leveled false accusations against, then immediately played the victim while linking their PayPal accounts and e-begging for cash.
Maybe that’s a metric fuck-ton of coincidences.
Chai’s done the smart thing and kept his mouth shut, though that’s still not as sneaky as he’d like it to be. Chai locked his Twitter account almost immediately after Jared’s video was released. He then changed his Twitter handle from @teacupofchai to @teacupsofchai and a dummy account was created under the original to try and avoid attention and throw people off. Chai has since brought his account back under a new name: @longquietday Under the old name, though, he was quite busy, deleting over 1,500 tweets before changing handles a few days later.
These two are con-artists...and they were surprisingly successful to a point. These are the two “victims” everyone’s been so adamant about defending. Two con-artists that managed to con thousands of people on Twitter into thinking they were “victims” when really, they were just frauds. I wonder how many people are going to keep believing these two were victimized just because they can’t admit they were duped and tried to crucify a man for a crime he didn’t commit.
Maybe it’s about time we stop mob mentality against the accused while also accusing skeptics of “victim blaming” before we’ve even confirmed who the victim actually is. Presumption of Innocence is the basis of our legal system for a reason.
