The Great Big Bra Hunt: Soma

Soma has an awesome staff that actually seem to care about finding you bras that fit. Unfortunately, my sales associate didn’t have much luck, so she called in her supervisor...who also didn’t have much luck.

I’ve got those call-in-the-supervisor boobs.

The associate measured me at 44G, and then quickly realized that was wrong. So I tried mostly 42G’s but they didn’t seem quite right either. A lot of the styles I tried shaped my breasts in ways I didn’t find flattering or comfortable, although the bands were universally awesome and smoothing.

This was my favorite but it was too large. I think in the correct size it would have been super pretty, but alas, they didn’t have the size in store. Kind of a theme with my size. (Sensuous Lace Unlined Bra, $52).

What followed were a series of duds:

Ugh this beige one was just depressing.

And the bralettes were too loose even on the tightest setting.

I spent a lot of time waiting for the associate and supervisor to look for things in my size. The black lacy bra was the only one I liked, or felt at all “sexy” or comfortable in.

I’m not sure if I would order it or not. I might go back on a day when I have more time, but their overall selection *for my size* was limited and kind of boring. But top marks for service!
