Guide to composite charts
The composite chart is a method used in astrology to know the dynamics of a relationship and to know both the positive ones and those that can be worked on. The method of midpoints is used to create this chart, since it is a way of "mixing" or "joining" the energies of the planets of both people to see how they get along with other planets, this with the purpose of seeing their dynamic, as previously stated.
🟫What’s the difference between a Synastry Chart and a Composite chart?
The clearest difference is that in the synastry chart we use two charts, yours and the other person's, while the Composite chart is a single chart.
In the synastry chart we compare your natal planets with the planets of the other person to find out how you get along as individuals, on your own without needing to be in a relationship. While in the Composite Chart we study the dynamics of you as a couple/relationship of any kind. It tells us about the way the relationship works and possible problems that may arise.
🟫Can I use the Composite chart for a relationship that it’s not romantic?
Yes you can! You can observe, analyze and study any relationship. Whether it's romantical, friendship, familiar, platonic or fictional. Just like the synastry.
🟫Next, a brief explanation of the meaning of some points of this chart and posts that I have made regarding each one. [This post will be in constant editing, because I want to cover several points in depth, for now we only have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Rising and MC, but I plan to do the other planets until I reach Saturn and one or another significant point].
🟤The Sun in the composite chart represents the relationship itself, how it works and what area of life the relationship is most focused on. The essence of the relationship is seen with the position and aspects that the Sun makes. The Sun, in turn, can indicate to us those things that are necessary for the relationship to be at its best and to be sustained in general.

🟤The Moon shows us the deepest aspects of the relationship, it shows us the way in which emotions have their role in the relationship. The aspects, signs and house where this position can tell us the way in which they express their emotions and the emotions they provoke in the other.

🟤Mercury in this chart tells us about the couple's communication. The aspects can tell us how good the communication is between the two as well as the sign and house where they are. This planet also tells us about what the couple's usual conversations are about, it can also represent the way they talk about the relationship as well.

🟤Venus in this chart tells us about the way in which this couple shows love, with what gesture or through what actions. It is love at its best, the attraction and the emotional and romantic bond that the couple forges. It shows the level of harmony in the relationship and what they most enjoy doing with each other.

🟤Mars in the composite chart talks about sex, yes, but also about other aspects of the relationship. It shows how the couple acts, it can tell us how they motivate each other and how they deal with conflicts or arguments that may arise.

🟤Jupiter in the Composite chart shows the couple's areas of growth, it'll show us the gifts and good things that this relationship will bring to both of their lives. Likewise, it can show us the excesses of this couple. A positive meaning is usually attributed to both sign and house.

🟤Saturn in the Composite chart shows us the stability, challenges and even durability of the relationship. The way in which the couple commits to the relationship, the lessons they will learn in the relationship and what gives strength to the relationship.

🟤The Rising or Ascendant reveals the nature of the relationship, the easily perceived energies of your relationship, and the basic way in which your relationship operates. It also indicates the way in which you as a relationship interact with what surrounds you.

🟤The MC or Midheaven in this chart shows us the reputation of the couple. The sign they are in and the planets that are in this house can give us an idea of how they project the relationship to others. In other words, this house can tell us how other people see the couple and the type of couple they seem to be.
