Is an online business easier than offline?

If we take an example of a retail store,

The Offline Business needs a prime location, a physical store, a Wherehouse, full managemnt team, a strong brand…

The Online Business relies more on the Platform you are using and how professional and user friendly it is, it needs also to be optimized for the Search Engine to make better reach, and could reach bigger audience, the trick is how to convince the visitor to buy without touching and trying the product physically, this needs a lot of marketing and design efforts.

As a conclusion, i think we cannot compare the difficulty level between online and offline business because it should be taken case by case and both of them needs an extended business plan, marketing plan and feasibility study… In terms of budget the Online Business seems to be less costly because you can start with an MVP to test the market and with low marketing budget, which is not an option in an offline business.
