Among the most mysterious Belgravia: The Next Chapter characters, Nell finally shared a part of her secrets in episode 5. While Emily’s first reaction was to share her findings and assumptions with James, his stern admonishments to Emily to only be supportive of her and not judge Nell shook Emily, but also convinced her to come clean with her. This led Nell to tell Emily that she had a daughter but she had died, for which Nell blamed herself. While Emily initially judged Nell, knowing her past actually made her understand her and wish she could have helped Nell.

4 The Reverend Receiving Another Letter Makes His Situation More Burdensome

Gorton's threats to out James will unlikely stop

Belgravia: The Next Chapter episode 5 started with Reverend James Trenchard being handed the note Gorton sent him to blackmail him into paying him so that he wouldn’t tell the bishop or James’ parish about his attending the bathhouse. Gorton promised he wouldn’t blackmail James again when they met, but the episode’s ending proved Gorton could do what he wanted, as he had all the power since James had much to lose. This put James in a very difficult situation where he could potentially be exploited for a long time and the second letter he received unfortunately hinted at that."
