A New York woman is thanking the makers of an anti-rape device saying that it “saved her from being raped and brutally assaulted.”
「私を容赦ない暴行から救ってくれた」と語るのは、ニューヨークに住むミシェル・キングストン（Michelle Kingston）さん。それはある日曜の午後、仕事から帰宅中のミシェルさんの身に起こったあるできごとだった。
男は突然、路地から飛び出して彼女を連れ去った。
Michelle Kingston says she was walking home from work in the afternoon on Sunday when a man jumped out of a side alley and grabbed her.

The ‘Karma’ that Kingston describes is a device that was purchased for her by her grandfather.

“I wanted my granddaughter to be safe, so I purchased this anti-rape device for her,” said Mitchell Kingston, the grandfather.

暴漢の男、38歳のロナルド・ステッドウェイ（Ronald Steadway）は、ただちに近くの病院に搬送され、手術によりペニスを完全に切除された。警察によると、男の回復を待って男を郡の刑務所に移送し、男は保釈なしの裁判を受けることになるという。
The man, 38-year-old Ronald Steadway, was transported to a nearby hospital where his penis had to be surgically removed. After recovery, police say he will be relocated to the county jail awaiting trial on no bond.

手術に立ち会ったトーマス・パーク医師（Dr. Thomas Parque）は語った。
