They took their time, but the beetles did indeed come back.  L’il cuties.   ^_^  Although not shown in the pictures, these are field recording books, with alternating lined and plain pages.  They’re made with sustainable, smooth white paper, have solid board covers covered with Irish Linen Buckram.  Each has a different inset image of a beetle, cut from this delightful fabric.  Endpapers, silk endbands, and ribbon bookmarks were chosen to colour co-ordinate with each beetle.  [A set of seven images.  The first shows all five books in a row, with their natural/hessian-coloured covers on display.  The following five images are to show the individual beetle designs.  There’s the Catacanthus lombok, in reds and oranges; the Chrysina beyeri, in mossy greens and yellows; the Sternotomis Callais, in more vivid greens; the Chrysocarabus Auronitens in teals and pink; and the Polybothris Sumptuosa, in purples & yellows.  The final image shows the books with their back covers open, arranged in a stack to display their coloured endpapers, endbands, and bookmarks.]
