SunDIY - Indian Elephant!
This week I decided to do a craft linked to my India project in order to experiment with possible medias I could use for my books. This is a work in progress as you can see but I am happy with the start that I have made so far! It will also now be a nice thing to work on when I want something creative but relaxing to do.
I created a hole at the top so that it is possible to hang or tie something to it. It's purpose is decoration but this hole adds lots of versatility to what you can do with it. I could make loads and hang them together like bunting or just tie a big bow hanging to them and tie them to door handles etc. The visual quality at the moment isn't as finished or interesting as it will be because I will be adding lots of patterns like flowers etc and stuff the elephant. I have used a wide range of colours because I wanted it to be really vibrant to link to the atmosphere of India and a lot of its textiles for cushions etc. (Found in my market research which can be found in a collection on my Pinterest India Brief board.) https://uk.pinterest.com/dearalice1/india-brief/
