During my time in Portsmouth I took part in helping out a fellow illustration student Livy Has No Life in photographing her garments in the Southsea beach setting. I helped out as a model and I really loved the tops! They were screen printed with the can pull motif, which is her current focus for her Final Major Project (looking into drawing attention and celebrating the mundane things in life), and then tie dyed the tops. Because of this each top is slightly different and one off, yet they all work together as a set.
This was really fun to be a part off and it was a really chilled shoot to reflect the target audience of the t-shirts. My posing wasn’t too great but I think the overall images worked really well in exhibiting the T-shirts and the casual setting and purpose. Livy kept the focus on the T-shirts by not letting the scenery and poses get too complicated or overdone.
