Crispin Orthotics Brief. These flamingos are a close up from one of my Crispin Orthotics Brief designs. I wanted the content and visual quality of these patterns to reflect the positivity of prosthetics. I drew the designs out in pencil first and then worked into the flamingos with a clear solid black outline. Once I had scanned them into the computer I used Photoshop to add colour and enhance levels to make the black pen lines a denser black. I decided to use photoshop to colour rather than doing it with analogue techniques because I didn't want the transfering from paper to computer and then print again to affect the quality and tones in the work. By doing it on Photoshop I was able to create work that will print out exactly as designed.
