This jar, although it looks like it was painted by a four year old, was in reality painted by me on the recent Easter weekend!Usually we paint eggs and hang them up on an inside tree that my mum has but it was not bought out this year so instead I thought I’d decorate this plain jar to put our Easter egg chocolate into. I thought this may deter me eating more than my body weight seeing as it was harder to get to, but unfortunately not! I used white acrylic paint as a base, because painting straight onto the glass or plastic will create a translucent layer rather than a block colour. I decided on a spring and ‘happy’ colour scheme of yellow and lilac-pink and just painted on some really basic and easy to do bunny and chick motifs. This is something someone of any age could do and there is room to be much more experimental and beautiful with the design, unlike my simple one!
