ACT 0: Hyper-Energy Freezon

In the year 199X, humanity has advanced rapidly due to the discovery of the hyper-energy material “Freezon”. The world was soon divided into five federations referred to as “Macro Zones”, with behemoth central metropolitan computer systems installed in each zone tasked with supporting advancement and harmony of the human race.  Hope for the future brimmed in every heart with the promise of lasting global peace.

Yet meanwhile, in the far reaches of space, an extraordinary planet had also evolved thanks to the blessing of Freezon: Planet Waruder, in the heart of a vast, dark nebula cloud.  But environmental destruction due to the abuse of Freezon power had exceeded the life expectancy of the dying world. The Waruder race desired further prosperity and built a planetary environmental maintenance system, consuming massive amounts of energy to extend their planet’s lifespan.  Upon exhausting the last of their own star’s energy, they started a large-scale initiative to plunder the Freezon resources of other worlds.  And then, after annihilating countless stars, the fearsome Waruder Force at last discovered the blue planet with extraordinary Freezon resources within our own Solar System.     “Land Master”, the main computer of the largest of the Macro Zones, Metrazone Japan City, received a startling message from interstellar space.  It was a warning of the Waruder Force’s impending terrestrial invasion transmitted from a ruined star.  Upon receiving this warning from every Zone computer, The Macro Zone Federation Commission unanimously decided upon the establishment of a Global Defense Organization tasked with the development of super mechanisms to defend against alien aggression.  This was the birth of the Earth Defense Corps, “Diaclone”. The ruthless Waruder Force’s offensive onslaught of guerrilla attacks, lunar surface invasions, time hole operations, and more were intercepted by the Diaclone headquarters, which focused on developing new attack systems one after another as the battle over Freezon energy continued on… Note: Microman Club will be translating the six Diaclone Story acts (and possibly more) from the new Diaclone page put up last year by Takara in conjunction with the imminent late May 2016 release of the new DiaBattles V2 set, the first new Diaclone release since 1984!
