LADS - True Companion
I'm here to speculate about the true companion of the MC. I'm still at an early stage, currently level 62, with an affinity of 50-55 across four love interests.
Xavier - Affinity: 50. I really need to put in more effort with him.
Sylus, Zayne, and Rafayel - Affinity: 55.
Pardon my English—it's not my first language!
I started playing out of curiosity after seeing an ad on Douyin and all the UGC content featuring LADs. I decided to download the game after watching a creator’s scenario video. That's when I fell for Sylus. After checking online, I discovered we share the same MBTI.
No wonder Sylus feels familiar—the way he speaks so pompously. Awkokwokwokwokwok! It turns out he mirrors my personality. Of course, I'm not the leader of Onychinus who can talk like that in everyday life, but it’s fun to see.
I keep a close eye on MC’s interactions, even studying her poses in the Studio. I gather as much information as I can from the internet since I haven’t unlocked all the myths yet.
MC seems to have a deep connection with Sylus, or maybe Sylus is infatuated with her. Watch Nightly Rendezvous—you'll see neither wants to let the other go. In contrast, Rafayel and Zayne seem to be the ones more in love with MC, not the other way around. There’s no clear indication that MC loves Zayne or Rafayel, but their affection for her is evident.
Take the foreseer, for instance—he sacrifices his memories to save MC, offering the Protocore, which angers Astra, leading to his punishment. His memories turn into jasmine, yet he slowly starts to remember her. As for Rafayel, he couldn’t bring himself to kill MC, even when it was part of his plan to reclaim his heart. MC gives his heart back, and despite his deep love for her, she ends up cast into the Abyss, accused of being a witch. It was Rafayel who was tricked into giving her his heart.
In the Abyss, she meets Sylus, the Dragon. I believe MC might have fallen for Sylus because he’s always there for her—protecting and keeping her close. She sees his softer side, similar to how Xavier treats her. However, Xavier is even softer and more protective, likely due to his INFP personality, compared to Sylus’s pompous ENTJ nature.
Deep down, MC seems to be searching for a love like Xavier’s. Yet, in the current timeline we’re playing, she hasn’t fully realized Xavier’s love, as he appears to be her future lover or husband. She’s destined to be the Queen of Philos. All their interactions feel like they’re already a couple. She remembers Xavier as the Lumiere who saved her as a child during the chronorift catastrophe in 2034, which turned N109 into a wasteland.
Based on the game’s storyline, it seems Xavier is the one who set everything into motion, altering the course of events. However, I have a strong belief that Rafayel has reincarnated.
It's unclear whether he retains his memories from the past, but I believe he does. He mentioned something to MC during a visit to the hospital—a memory of MC saving a fish during a night stroll. This is significant because MC lost her memories when Rafayel tried to kill her to reclaim his heart. Despite his initial plan, MC willingly gave his heart back, and in doing so, Rafayel erased her memories. Yet, MC eventually remembers him again.
This is likely why Rafayel loves MC deeply—not just a crush or mere affection, but genuine love. I think his love is fueled by guilt for having plotted to kill her in the first place. The real question is, why did Rafayel purposely seek out MC and ask her to be his bodyguard shortly after she started investigating his paintings? Was it to protect her, or was it part of a deeper plan to take her heart once again?
If you remember of this video where Rafayel hospital moment
We know Rafayel is driven by a desire for revenge due to Lemuria's exploitation, which led him to kill several people. His intentions towards MC remain a mystery—does he want to shield her from harm, or is there more to his motives, possibly tied to his quest for vengeance?
Speculation about Sylus
There’s a lot of speculation around who holds the Aether Core, and MC often hears a voice urging her to kill him. Some theories online suggest that the Aether Core is calling out to be reunited with the other Aether core inside MC, which could mean she has to kill Sylus in the process. However, we know MC is the Queen of Philos, while Sylus is a criminal in Philos and operates as a sort of mafia figure in the N109 zone—a semi-villain, if you will.
The internet suggests Sylus has a deep-seated dislike for Philos, and there are many parts of his story yet to be revealed, especially following the Caleb event. Despite his villainous streak, Sylus is incredibly protective of MC, and she feels safe under his protection. Their bond is unique—MC not only feels protected by Sylus but also has a strong desire to protect him in return. It’s a deeper connection, rooted in mutual understanding and support.
With Sylus, MC seems to find someone who accepts her unconditionally, no matter how broken her heart is, how many memories she’s lost, or the sacrifices she’s made for love. Sylus is there for her, even though he may be carrying his own burdens of pain and suffering. It feels like they’re together because they truly understand and support each other.
What scares me the most is the possibility that Sylus might not be around when the game ends. If that happens, it would leave a lasting impact on all of us who love his character. The idea of MC having to kill Sylus is heartbreaking, especially since he’s been such a crucial part of her journey.
Caleb has .... core
This could potentially lead to MC being cured for the rest of her life and becoming immortal, like Xavier. However, how the developers will make this happen remains a mystery. We'll have to wait and see how the story unfolds in the game!
It seems all five love interests (LI) might eventually turn against each other, as each of them has their own agenda and mission to fulfill.
- Xavier is focused on saving MC and curing her, aiming to make her immortal and prevent her from dying.
- Rafayel is dealing with his own Lemurian issues, along with the baggage of his past. He’s trying to find a way to reclaim his heart without killing MC, all while attempting to save Lemuria.
- Zayne is entangled with Astra, and he needs to confront the GOD—who some speculate might even be the mysterious sixth LI. Who knows what surprises the game holds?
- Sylus has his own conflicts with Philos and possibly with Astra as well. There are even joke videos online about Zayne and Sylus conspiring together to destroy Philos.
- Caleb might have issues with all of them or Astra? or Josephine? or he is not entirely human? share a similar fate with MC, adding another layer of intrigue.
I’m really glad that the game is evolving beyond just a simple romance or one-way plot. It’s getting more and more interesting with all these complex character arcs and interwoven storyline
For the MC part
As someone who has experienced love, heartbreak, and the erasure of memories, I can say it’s not an ideal way to live. I wouldn’t wish that kind of suffering on anyone. The heartache that needs healing is profound, and for MC, it’s even more tragic—she’s dying, despite the fact that Earth no longer exists and humans now live in Philos with Protocores.
While humans in Philos are immortal, a clear indication that human lifespan has significantly improved, this doesn’t apply to MC. Her life continues to hang in the balance. Xavier may be immortal, but MC is still fighting against her fading life. She’s been reincarnated multiple times, all in a desperate search for a cure for her heart disease.
This resonates deeply with me because I’ve had a family member who passed away from heart sickness, much like MC. Finding a cure is incredibly difficult, and the disease can claim a life at a young age—around 28 or so. Only Rafayel, Zayne, and Xavier truly understand the gravity of her condition, as they were the first three male characters introduced in the story.
Within the story, all of the love interests (LIs) are suffering from the burden of reincarnation, and they too might be seeking a way to become immortal, like Xavier. The people who live in Philos are considered god-like humans, possessing the power to evolve, or "Evol." This suggests that during Earth's time, those with Evol abilities were likely destined to live in Philos in the future, with a connection to celestial beings.
It’s reminiscent of the belief that celestial gods might reside in intergalactic realms. Perhaps the story draws a parallel to this idea, where the inhabitants of Philos share traits with these celestial entities, bridging the gap between humanity and divine existence.
I don’t think the game will end until all of the characters find a cure for their reincarnation issues. The Protocore isn’t the solution, as Xavier once discovered that the Protocore consumes human lives, turning them into wanderers. This adds another layer of complexity to their quest, showing that immortality through the Protocore comes at a grave cost.
FYI
MC and the other LADs correlation of reincarnation formula:
Xavier is immortal, and he vowed to the MC that no matter where or when she reincarnates, he will find her.
Rafayel will always be there whenever the MC reincarnates, bound by their timeless romance and the heart he gave her.
Zayne might or might not be present, and he may or may not retain memories of the MC.
Sylus, though shrouded in mystery, is destined to always meet the MC, as the Ather Core binds them together.
Caleb remains a mystery for now, leaving his role to be revealed as the story unfolds.
